The Voice of Truth

There are so many voices shouting at us every single day. Our world feels full of chaos. And in the midst of it all, it can be easy to feel afraid, confused, and even begin to question: What is the truth?
As a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, I believe that God alone is truth, and that truth is found in His Word. Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” And John 17:7 reads, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
In a world full of opinions, headlines, and noise, Jesus remains steady. He does not change.
If you are seeking truth, my encouragement to you is this: seek God Himself.
Put away your phone.
Turn off the TV.
Open your Bible.
Read the Word of God and allow Him to speak to your heart. Invite the Holy Spirit to speak to you. Quiet your own thoughts and be willing to receive what God wants to reveal to you.
We cannot depend on other people to tell us the truth. We must seek God personally. When we are not seeking Jesus for ourselves, we can easily be led to believe things that are not true.
Scripture reminds us of that when it says, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (1 John 4:1).
In the society we live in today, we must be careful about allowing the media and news to consume our minds. What we take in is what settles in our hearts. That’s why it’s so important to make reading God’s Word a daily priority.
How many of us spend more time scrolling social media than reading our Bible? I know I am guilty of this. When I spend time endlessly scrolling Instagram or TikTok, being hit with news, arguments, and negativity, my mind becomes filled with anxiety and fear. But when I open my Bible and spend time in God’s presence, I am filled with peace. I am reminded that God is seated on His throne, sovereign, unshaken, and unmoved by anything happening in our world. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end (Revelation 22:13). Why should we fear when He has all authority over creation, as Scripture tells us in Colossians 1:17-17, "For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible...all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together."
As humans, we all have our own thoughts and opinions. And the truth is, there will never be a perfect human on this earth with all the right answers or actions.
We are all broken people.
We are all in need of a Savior.
And we all need Jesus.
He alone is the answer our broken world needs.
My prayer for you, as you read this, is that you would seek Jesus, and that He would speak to you in a personal and intimate way, revealing His truth from heaven straight to your heart.
I also pray that we would have compassion and gentleness toward one another and toward our shared broken humanity, while still standing firm in righteousness and the truth found in God’s Word.
And finally, my prayer is that as the body of Christ, as His church, we would seek truth in God Himself, remembering that our purpose here on earth is to be a light and to bring Jesus to a hurting and broken world.

This is relevant right now. Thank you for sharing, and reminding me to find truth and light in god. And the importance of focusing on him, instead of fear and anxiety.
